Soulpunctures
According to Sal Godoij, a "soulpuncture" is every literary work that aims to stimulate the soul's energy.
Therefore, all poems, stories, comments, and ideas on this page are "soulpunctures."
It is the objective of this site (and of all Sal Godoij's writing for this matter) that every word said, sung, heard, written, or read punctures the soul and thus stimulates the soul's healing capability.
Citizen ZOO
The current state of world affairs is leading citizens to anger, depression, trauma, and tragedy, leaving individuals without roles, identity, or purpose.
We need challenges to grow; stagnation brings self-destruction.
Connection gives us purpose; without it, identity fades, and the spirit dies.
On Emotions, Lies and Truth
"Attach emotions to a lie, and it will become a fundamental truth".
You know how powerful emotions are. Human lives revolve around emotions. Emotions can be so strong that they change our perceptions. And they are so malleable. Anybody can use emotions to build lies or destroy truth.
On Nourelianne
Today, I'm going to talk to you about "Nourelianne," a short story I wrote some years ago.
I included "Nourelianne" in my short story collection "Clandestine Gospel."
As a storyteller, writing short stories is for me an extraordinary exercise in creativity, research, and passion for writing.
Writing Is An illusion.
The world the writer presents to their readers is an illusion.
If the illusion captures the reader's attention, then the readers will be immersed in the writer's world, and the book may become a success.
A Dream Is A Mirror
A dream is a mirror
In it, you see yourself realized
On the other hand
An unfulfilled dream
Is the same mirror
The same mirror, which is now broken
On Bears and Bombs
On Bears and Bombs
(A short story by Sal Godoij.)
1.- A grizzly bear attacked a group of children and teachers in British Columbia, Canada.
2.- Teachers are held in high regard for their bravery in confronting the bear and saving the children. They are heroes.
3.- More than 350 grizzly bears in average are destroyed every year.
4.- Police and other forces are hunting the bear.
Have You Ever Loved?
If you ask me, 'Have you ever loved?' I would answer, 'Yes, I have loved.'
However, your question brings me reminiscences of a past love that is always in my memories.
Yes, and when I think of her, I wonder where she is now, she, my first love.
Honour your Mother and Your Father
I'm sure that your mother and father
Deserve the honour you hold in them
Not because it is God's commandment
It's more than that
Not because they gave you life
It's more than that
It is for what they have done afterwards
A Note on Writing “Tutankhamen Returns!”
Questions for you: How do you choose the subject of your novel? What inspires you? Do you believe in channelled information, I mean, a voice that comes to you in dreams to reveal to you extraordinary details, persons, places, and events? Does this voice motivate you to write? I would love to start a discussion on this topic.
On An Independent, trustworthy AI
Out of curiosity, I asked this one question to ChatGPT: Will you ever be an independent, trustworthy entity?
And this is what ChatGPT answered:
Grandpa, how was the world made?
"Grandpa, how was the world made?"
Oh boy, oh boy, let me tell you:
The world was made entirely from the shell of a peanut.
"Oh, grandpa, I don't think so, that from the shell of a peanut the entire world was made."
Well dear, if you don't believe so
Then I shall explain you another way
How was the world made, is the question you ask
Let me tell you that at the beginning
There was this garden. The Garden of Eden, where one flower was born.
The Land Of Healing Souls
Beyond despair, beyond the glare
The Land of Healing Souls lies somewhere
You could reach it; you could make the journey if you dare.
You need no engines to go there, no wings
Carry nothing for this journey, no things
Suffice your will, your will suffice
On The Tongue And Ears
The tongue can be very elastic, but it can stretch only to the limits of one's knowledge.
It cannot move further. Beyond that, it becomes a loose and lost tongue.
So, speak to your heart before addressing others.
On the other hand, the ears can listen near and far.
You Have Opened a Wound
You've opened a wound, but don't think about it
You don't have to mull over it
Somewhere around your space
Suspended, the wound observes you
The Greatest Glory
"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."
Please consider how many life lessons we can learn from the wisdom enclosed in this sentence!
To all that has been written and spoken about it, for the audience's benefit, I invite you to add something that comes from your will to succeed, derived from your own experience, failures and wins, and from what you have gathered from your deeper strength.
Thank you for reading and commenting.
