Three Roads

Three Roads

(A poem to reflect upon by Sal Godoij.)

“Oh, almighty man

When this craziness began?

Why have you stopped creating the stars that lighted your darkest nights?

Ah! Arrogance has turned you blind, and ignorance has proven might

Behold, for your moral, truth, and reason have grown affected by this blight

And so, what are you doing?

Are you fighting back, or have you already surrendered to this plight?

Oh, Almighty man

When this craziness began?

And now

It doesn’t matter

It doesn’t matter, for the consequences are already here

Thus, you have three roads left open for you to walk

One: Go back to creating stars, bring back the light

Two: Fight for a new dawn

Three: Yes, fight for a new dawn, or live forever in the night.”
