Step Outside and Face the Blue Sky
(A poem by Sal Godoij.)
Don't cry, my brother, my sister
Don't cry
Don't feel lonely
For you are never alone
In your own world, in your own self, in your solitude
Step outside and face the blue sky
Every blinking star is a hand
A hand that extends to caress your soul
Think of it
Don't feel alone under the rain, either
Step outside and lift your face to the rain
Every raindrop is a kiss from the universe
It tells you that God is near you to dry your tears
Step outside, face the blue sky and open your arms
And feel the breeze
How it envelops you, how it caresses you
With such affection
Think of it
Think that you are not alone
Step outside and face the blue sky when the sun rises
To cuddle you with a warmth you never felt before
Step outside and face the blue sky when the sun sets
And in its farewell for the day
Leaves you with a fire in your heart
Aye, my brother, my sister
If you feel lonely and heartbroken
Step outside and face the blue sky when the moon shines
Let the moonshine embrace you
And you will feel it!
You will feel that somewhere out there
Someone
Is in love with you.
