On Promoting Your Book.

Dear friend,

I believe that if you place your name as an author and your book’s title on social media and other platforms as often as you can, your book will eventually reach its audience.

I say that you don’t need to know your audience.

I believe you do not always need to know your audience before you begin. That may be a modern rule of promotion, but it is not always true.

You, as an author, write the book and publish it. Then, among the many books in the world, its audience may begin to find it.

You must be persistent, though, in reminding readers that your book is out there. How? In a few lines on social media, briefly tell them what your book is about. Do it with grace, with elegance, and with a quiet promise that within its pages there is something true, something beautiful, or something deeply human waiting for the reader to find.

Furthermore, add rhythm to your persistence, like a song, like a poem. A few lines will be enough to wake up the future reader’s curiosity.

Indeed, you may not need to set up a promotional machinery, as if your book were Coca-Cola or Nike. No. Your lines promoting your book must be a comforting invitation to explore other worlds,

But you, your title, must be out there, everywhere, all the time.

So, persist once again, with patience, dignity, and belief, but do not merely repeat the book’s title. Instead, offer a reason to pause, to listen, to wonder, and perhaps to recognize in your book pages a reflection of the reader’s hidden questions.

Believe me. Persistence opens the door, but beauty, sincerity, and truth are what invite a reader to cross the threshold and enter the world of your book.

Readers sense these traits, so be kind to them, but above all, be kind to yourself as the author.

Do not underestimate your message. Speak frankly about your book. Speak frankly about yourself.

Peace, love, and success.
