Pareidolia

Pareidolia = The psychological phenomenon of seeing or hearing familiar shapes, sounds, faces, or patterns in random, unrelated objects or data.

Pareidolia

(A poem by Sal Godoij).

Alone, watching the sunset

I thought of you.

Your lips

Whispering in my ear

Vows of love

As they used to.

Your lips burned,

As if you were on fire,

And then today

Alone once more,

Watching the sunset

And thinking of you,

I felt your lips on mine.

Again, after so long a time,

A kiss to remember.

And I stood there

Watching the sunset fade

And the sun, the clouds.

And I, in the middle of that fire

My eyes trying to capture your image

My heart, beating for you, still

My memories, still seeking you.

And I saw your soft, red, inviting lips,

I heard your velvety voice calling my name

Through the clouds

In the fire of sunset.

Is it love, or is it madness

That I still feel your kisses

In every burning cloud

In every burning sunset?

Sal is a Canadian-Chilean writer, philosopher, poet, and indie publisher, author of a thought-provoking narrative that contains mystical messages. Sal believes in miracles, which he claims have accentuated his life, so many of his stories reflect these portents. Sal sustains that we all have a message to divulge in this life. Thus, he encourages us to make our voice heard, firstly in our inner self, then on to our neighbours, and henceforward into the universe.
