Souls
Hello, my friend,
I’m pleased to share my reflection on humanity and invite you to cultivate a mindset of empathy and action, therefore urging you to look beyond superficial differences and engage with one another on a deeper, more meaningful level.
I say we must change. I urge us to see each other differently, more profoundly.
Think of it. We, as humanity, spent our lives learning from a palimpsest, written on stone. This fact explains why the ancient chronicles remain. They’re the records of humanity’s previous trial and error. Therefore, as we walk through history, we leave behind a fraction of the truth for the next generation to find. And each generation scratches it and instead adds their story to it. Another piece of truth. A different kind of truth.
In this view, I suggest a new contract: the evolution of the conscience, which, in a few words, means protecting ourselves as a bird protects its eggs, or like a mother protects the newborn child. To protect ourselves as humans without absurd divisions, because we’re all here inside this egg we call Earth, which the universe is hatching. If we do it correctly, the new being that will come out of this egg will soar as we always dream about ourselves.
Therefore, I say we need to come up with an idea, this time from the soul, that identifies us all as humans, so we will know who we are without politics, religion, nationality, or skin colour hindering our walk through life.
And so, my reflection calls for a compassionate approach to life, urging us to judge others not by external factors but by their character and the impact they have on the world.
I hope that you read it as it is, a thought-provoking and uplifting reminder to foster kindness, justice, and understanding in all our interactions.
Peace and love.
Sal
Souls
(A reflection by Sal Godoij.)
I neither see politics, nor religions, nor nationality, nor skin colours in persons.
Before anything, they’re my fellow humans.
Therefore, I see their soul.
And I see their soul through their actions and through their words.
Through their actions that contribute to building a better humanity
Actions that show love, compassion, respect, and justice
And words encouraging others to do the same.
And this I call humanity.
Therefore, I embrace them all who want to make this a better planet
A better humanity.
